Lenovo has a 3-day sale and 15% off coupon on ThinkPads right now that results in some of the best pricing we’ve seen on the new ThinkPad lineup. Here are some examples of model pricing available on Lenovo.com right now with their back to school promo:
- ThinkPad T430s ($747 with Intel Core i3, 4GB RAM, 320GB HD)
- ThinkPad X230 ($721 with Intel Core i3, 4GB RAM, 320GB HD)
- ThinkPad X230 Tablet ($976.65 with Intel Core i3, 4GB RAM, 320GB HD)
A screenshot from Lenovo.com is below to show the pricing. The ThinkPad T430s for $747 is an excellent price and the lowest we’ve seen for the season. The T430s is essentially a slimmer and lighter version of the popular T430, you can read our comparison of the T430 and T430s here. The X230 for $721 starting out is also a standout price, the X230 is a 12.5” screen ultraportable laptop that comes with the option of an IPS screen. At the starting price of $721 the X230 does not have the premium screen, but it can be had for a reasonable $50 upgrade. Also note that the starting prices for all these notebooks includes just the second generation Sandy Bridge Core i3 processor, we’d recommend upgrading to the Core i5 Ivy Bridge for an extra $30.
