Last week Dell unleashed all of its new Latitude laptops with Intel’s new Ivy Bridge processors, not to be outdone, the stodgy but reliable Dell Vostro 470 Mini Tower PC today made its debut.  Equipped with the 3rd generation of Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, the Vostro 470 Mini Tower offers performance on a budget, the price starts at $549 with the Intel Core i5-3450 3.10GHz processor before any coupons are applied.

At purchase the Vostro 470 is available with up to 2TB of hard drive storage and 12GB of RAM, though Dell notes you can upgrade to 3TB of stroage capacity and a huge 32GB of memory after purchase if you need to beef up this desktop even more.  If you need dedicated graphics Dell offers the Nvidia GT 620 GPU, the standard graphics are Intel HD 2500.  While this desktop is not intended as a workstation type of performer, it should be more than capable enough for the average small business.  Indeed, with the Core i7 and dedicated Nvidia graphics you should be able to easily do CAD work or run intensive photo processing batches in Photoshop without any slowdown.

The Vostro 470 is now available via Dell.com for order.
