Lenovo ThinkPad L330 13” Laptop User Guide Leaks Out

June 10, 2012

News

Lenovo recently announced and is now shipping all of their 2012 ThinkPad updated lineup, but it seems there’s “one more thing”.  Well, not to make it sound all that exciting but the ThinkPad L330 13” is at least an interesting last addition.  The user guide for the L330 is downloadable from Lenovo.com but nary a whisper of announcement came from Lenovo regarding this system, though the larger sized 14” L430 and ThinkPad L530 are available from Lenovo currently.  It appears the L330 is just a shrunken down version of these eco-friendly models as Lenovo refers to them.

In terms of specs, the screen resolution of the 13.3” matte display will be 1366 x 768.  You’ll get two USB 3.0 ports, one powered USB 2.0, HDMI, Ethernet, VGA monitor out and media card reader.  Internally the Intel Core i3 to Core i7 processor will be available, no word on dedicated graphics, but since the larger L430 does not offer that you can consider the Intel HD 4000 the best you’ll get.  There is no built-in optical drive, which helps keep the thickness down to 1.09”.  If you were hoping for a keyboard backlight or above screen ThinkLight like the T, X and W series of ThinkPads have then, sorry, you’re out of luck as that’s not part of the mix.  You do however get a lit up dot above the “i” in ThinkPad on both the lid and keyboard area, for what that’s worth.

No word on pricing or availability at this point.  The user guide is dated and marked as July 2012 so it may be next month before this actually shows up on the virtual store shelves of Lenovo.
